Midwest Light of Human Rights Awards
Midwest Light of Human Rights Awards is Heartland
Alliance’s opportunity to recognize those individuals and corporations
who advance universal human rights here in the Midwest.
Proceeds from the Midwest Light of Human Rights Awards support services for
impoverished asylum seekers and survivors of torture in the Chicago
area, provided by the National Immigrant Justice
Center and the Marjorie Kovler
Center for the
Treatment of Survivors of Torture. Together these Heartland programs have
served more than 100,000 individuals and families from more than 100 countries.
